Abstract Background Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a metabolic disease which complicated by occurrence of diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN). Vitamin D deficiency contributes to the etiology and progression type 2 DM development micro-vascular complications so in this study we assessed vitamin level patients evaluate association between assess if there relationship with certain subtypes neuropathy. This case–control was conducted on 80 divided into four groups equally. (A): Diabetic painful (B): painless (C): neuropathy, but have neuropathic ulcer.
